Let's prioritize some insights

Research is finished, what do we do next? Picture this: you just wrapped up a project, you're sitting with piles of data, and a colleague asked you the above. What DO you do next? With the amount of information you've gathered, it can be difficult to prioritize the "most important" takeaways. A LOT busier We're taking inventory (for research, not retail) I put together a quick tutorial on how to use inventories to answer questions at any phase of your research and design process. I walk through a framework to help you capture functional data from your users and showcase a real example using dscout.   WATCH NOW Trust us, internal testing has its place "Boo!" "Hiss!" We know internal testing has mixed reviews. But hear us out, it DOES make sense in certain scenarios. Aside from being inexpensive (free, actually) and easy to recruit, it's a great strategy for promoting user research across the company and experience empathy as users might.   SET ONE UP More we're discussing:  We asked research participants which projects they enjoyed contributing to most and what the researcher did to make them so engaging.
